Another Try For Design Team

Hello ALL!!! Well I spent most of the day trying to get some cardmaking done. I have so many projects that I have taken on that I can't catch up. I have to do at least 10 more ATC sets. But hey I can't complain, I have use up alot of my stash because this summer I am buying all new supplies, including embellishments. I just have to get rid of this old stuff, especially the paper. After a while, I get tired of looking at it, and furthermore who uses old paper that much. Too much new stuff year after year to be hoarding the old stuff.....SO I HAVE TO START SCRAPPING AND MAKING CARDS...ASAP!!

Hello! What's going everyone? Today I really did not do too much of anything. I have been having bad headaches and of course I can't function that well with my head pounding as if someones inside. Anyways, I did spend a few hours on the computer surfing and came across a few sketch design team calls. One of them were http://cardpatterns.blogspot.com/. It sounds interesting and I am thinking of trying out for this as well but I guess I have time to figure that out. If I do decide, I'll be back with that card to show you. Well I really don't have anything to show, guess I will call it a night and get up early to workout and work on a few ATCs. Until then, Good Night!!!!

Oh my goodness! It has been over two weeks since I have been here...bad blogger! Actually, I have been super busy doing things for my job so I had to do those first, of course. And then I have been feeling under the weather, speaking in which Boston does not need any more snow for a couple of years. There has been so much snow that I have refused to shovel myself out at this time, I will take the train to work.

With that said and done, I found a call for a design team and guess what I am going to try out for it. I don't have anything to lose but normally I just feel like my work is not that good but then after I think about it I have to say sometimes I impress myself...

Well after reading and thinking to myself, I decided to give this a shot....and here is what I came up with....hopefully this gets me a spot on my FIRST DESIGN TEAM!!!!

Color of the Week!!!!

Hello Everyone!!!
Well I have been sleep all day!! Of course, I am always sleeping. I have to get ready to go to work, I am a third shifter! I am up all night.
Anyways, my color of the week will be PINK!! So stay tune this week for all my projects to consist of the color PINK....guess thats appropiate seeing that Valentine's Day is our next holiday. I have two ATC swaps coming up so have to get those done very soon. Speaking of swaps, I have joined two more groups today so that total is now up to ten! I am so happy to be this busy because what else would I be doing besides exercising and sleeping!

I have to buy me a 2009 planner to alter so I can get my year planned out because there are alot of events and dates planned. I am a Virgo and if you know us we LOVE TO MAKE LISTS!!!

With that said, its time to get ready for work, so I will have a card for you to see tomorrow.

Yeah I Know, I did not get a chance to post yesterday cause I was a little tired from staying up all night. Anyways, I guess I will have to post twice today. Well to start things off, I will be so busy this year trying to do alot of things crafty. I have signed up for the SCS 2009 Stamp to Spend Challenge and now I have also joined the 2009 Christmas Card Challenge (you have to complete 10 Christmas cards a month and those that do are entered into a drawing..basically its just a little something something to get you to complete all your cards before the holiday gets here). I have also joined over 20 ATC swaps..so stay tuned to see some of those posted here. Yup, they also work toward my stamp to spend challenge, I tell you what I am going to be so busy that I do believe I will use up half my stash this year....Wow did I just say that!!!!
Now speaking of stash, I was going through a few things and guess what I found...a big bag of those clear dew drops that everyone and their momma were buying from Michael's in the floral department. It cost me $2.00 for the entire bag. So I remember seeing a thread on SCS where people were posting how to dye them with the adirondack alcohol inks. SO knowing that I am not allowed to buy anything except adhesives, I told myself to try and dye these dew drops and use them up on all these cards that I have to make over the next few months. Well check out what I came up with..the before and after.

Now I have many different drops to attached to a flower or just to the sides of my cards, I better get to making these cards....I'll back later today with a new post and a card to show ya...stay tune!!!!

AND REMEMBER STOP BUYING SO MUCH STUFF.....ITS SUCH A WASTE!!!!!

DAY #2

Well its day two of the new year and I must say I think that this year is going to fly by. Anyways, I have decided to put myself through a challenge: Every Monday I am going to pick a color and I will make a card, layout, and/or some other project using that particular color. Sounds interesting? Yeah, so tune in on Monday to see which color starts off my challenge. By the way, I have so many blues and greens that I may have to do that several times in one month..LOL!!!

What else happening? Oh yeah, tomorrow I start going back to the gym faithfully. Remember I am trying to gain 10 pounds of muscles...so I will be hitting the weights pretty much 5 days a week. Stay tune to see the results...I have three months because I leave for Vegas to attend my best friends wedding!!!

Before I leave, I must show you a card I just completed for my Stamp and Spend challenge. I hope you like it. I think it actually came out better than I thought it would. As you can see I dug deep into my stash and found this old Chatterbox paper. And trust me I have over 30 sheets of this paper.

Yes, its 2009!!!!!! And here are my resolutions..I had to break them down into categories.

My "Crafty"Resolutions

1. Stop spending on supplies. (Don't buy if I don't need-who cares cause its cute)!!
2. Make a new blog. (Already did that, I'm writing on it now)!!!
3. Make 100 cards and 50 layouts before 2010.
4. Use up stash or donate it. (My sister wants to begin scrapping so she's more than welcome to have them).
5. Get published in a magazine or join a Design Team.
6. Complete the 2009 Stamp to Spend challenge.
7. Learn to use Photoshop Elements 7
8. Learn to sew..my sewing machine is brand new and its calling my name!!!
9. Take more pictures therefore I have a reason to learn my photoshop.
10. Stay organized...so I can stop spending hours looking for things!!!

My "Personal" Resolutions

1. Enjoy Myself. Have Fun!!
2. Save more-spend less!
3. Go to the gym faithfully!! gain 10 pounds!!! (yeah that's what I said 'GAIN'10 pounds...I can do that because I'm a small petite girl!!!!)
4. Train my crazy dog to be social around other dogs....cause right now he acts bipolar!
5. Don't live in the past! Let those things and people that have bothered me go...just forgive and keep it moving!!
6. Download over 500 songs on my IPOD! Yeah, its dying for an upgrade.
7. Keep my car clean. Yeah its a mess as we speak.
8. Be nicer to people even if they seem to be acting ugly!!!!
9. Plan my own dream wedding!!!
10. Travel....travel...travel
11. Move!!!!!

***I may have to add a few here and there because I know that I am trying to do BIG things this year***

Its almost 2009, and I have promised to make alot of changes when it comes to my cardmaking and scrapbooking. I will post my resolutions later on today. But in the meantime i have joined a challenge over at splitcoaststampers.com called 2009 Stamp to Spend. Basically you pay yourself when u complete a card or layout then use that money for more supplies. I get $1 for every card and $5 for every layout. Hopefully, I can stay on board and complete this all the way to the end, cause God only knows how much "stuff" I have accumulated over the years. So here are three cards that I have created to start.....and by the way that means I have made $3(so far)!!!!
